Tears Fall

Without warning, tears fall.
Held in check, profoundly spilling;
Unexpected provocation.
 I, withholding, God bids willing.
Shedding with complete abandon.
What I tightly hold, denying
Frailty and sinfulness;
His course sets true my reckoning.
I will follow.
I will heed.
I will weep.
I will, Him, need.
For in all things, He's ever there,
Drying eyes and answering prayer.

  1. Usually I see some sort of warning before tears.

  2. Joyce, I usually do, too. But, since losing my father this past March, I know I've not in any way, shape or form expressed the grief I feel. Sometimes, those neglected feelings bubble up, unbidden, and I am reduced to tears. In this case, the tears are good and healing. I need to let them come more often.
    Blessings, my friend!
